Social Media Safety Toolkit
The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs has released a toolkit for Veterans, their families, and friends to help them support those who might be struggling with emotional distress, crises, or thoughts of suicide on social media.
Take some time to read through the Toolkit and share it with others who you think could use it!
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
The national (USA) suicide hotline. Not first responder specific, but they can and will talk to anyone who needs help. We’ve been told by one of their founders they have a large number of first responders and veterans who volunteer.
Taking Self-Care Up a Notch

Not Getting Enough Sleep?
Sleep deprivation has been linked to several emotional and physical health issues. For first responders, a lack of sleep can impact their performance and place them and the community they serve in danger.
